Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 part numbers, decoded
The Compute Module 4 ships in forty standard variants, and the part number tells you exactly which one you are holding. Below is every one of them, decoded — plus what we currently have on the shelf.
Reading the part number
Every CM4 part number is built the same way. Take CM4101008, the variant we stock:
CM4Compute Module 41Wireless — 0 for none, 1 for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth01LPDDR4 memory in GB — 01, 02, 04 or 08008eMMC storage in GB — 000, 008, 016, 032 or 064
A part number ending in 000 has no eMMC and is the Lite version, which boots from an SD card. A part number ending in ET is an extended temperature variant, rated -40 °C to +85 °C instead of the standard -20 °C to +85 °C.

How do you read a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 part number?
A CM4 part number is CM4 followed by three pieces of information. The first digit is wireless: 0 for no wireless, 1 for 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The next two digits are the LPDDR4 memory in gigabytes — 01, 02, 04 or 08. The last three digits are the onboard eMMC storage in gigabytes — 000, 008, 016, 032 or 064, where 000 means no eMMC at all and is sold as the Lite version. So CM4102008 is a Compute Module 4 with wireless, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC.
What is the difference between a CM4 and a CM4 Lite?
A Lite module has no onboard eMMC storage and boots from an SD card instead. Any part number ending in 000 is a Lite variant. Everything else about the module is the same.
What does the ET suffix on a CM4 part number mean?
ET marks the extended temperature range variants, rated from -40 °C to +85 °C rather than the standard -20 °C to +85 °C. They carry the same part numbering otherwise, with ET appended — for example CM4001000ET.
